Truck with explosives
Destroyed by fearless Marines,
Saved their dear comrades.

"Tribute"

Stain in Ramadi,
Navy Cross hangs on tombstone,
President salutes.

"Bargaining"

Lay the only child,
Parents weep throughout lifespan,
Praying to exchange.

In my poetry book, "Humanity's Voice," these three haikus 

are dedicated to my dear friend, Jordon Haerter.
